The NZ Transport Agency and ViaStrada are offering a one-day industry training course focussing on planning and design for cycling in Wellington on Tuesday, 12 February 2019.
The course material is based on the recently ratified Cycling Network Guidance and recent cycling levels of service research. It will summarise recent advancements in cycling planning and design understanding, using case studies from a wide range of New Zealand projects implemented in the last five years. There will also be some discussion of current Transport Agency processes for implementing cycling programmes.
The course will benefit anyone involved in planning, designing or overseeing cycling facility projects and cycling programmes, such as: project managers, road safety auditors, transport planners, transport engineers, advocates and elected members.
