After having been with us since March 2007 (first with Traffix, and then with ViaStrada), Ben Muirhead has now finished his New Zealand OE and is heading back to England. Thanks for everything, Ben, and bon voyage to you and Kate.

Brenda Chuo joined the Christchurch office of ViaStrada on 4 August 2008 as a traffic engineer.

Dan Burden, keynote speaker at the NZ Walking Conference, has teamed up with ViaStrada to help make more liveable communities in New Zealand.

AlistairAlistair Ferguson joined ViaStrada on July 7 as a Transport Planner, based in our Christchurch office.

Jeremy

We are pleased to announce that Jeremy Philips has become a Director of ViaStrada Limited.

Jeremy joined ViaStrada in October 2007 to lead the company's strategic move into the land use planning sector. Since this time ViaStrada has experienced significant growth in this market leading to the employment of several new staff. 

Jeremy is well respected in the local and national market and with his strong communication and people skills Jeremy will contribute positively to the leadership and continued success of ViaStrada.

Stephen MolloyStephen Molloy joined ViaStrada on 7 July 2008 as a Transport Planner. After a week's training in Christchurch, Stephen will be based in the Dunedin office.

Stephen has a master of resource and regional planning degree and a varied career background, including work as a policy planner and planning officer. He also has worked as a cameraman, film director, computer sales and service specialist, mussel farmer and bicycle courier. Not bad for a young fellow!

Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams joined the Christchurch office of ViaStrada on 30 June 2008 as a Transport Planner.

Lisa graduated from Lincoln University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Environmental Management degree. Over the last couple of years, Lisa has been working for the Christchurch City Council as a resource consent planner, processing a variety of land use consents, certificates of compliance, existing use certificates and planning information memorandums.

Through her studies she has developed an interest in transport planning and during her time at Council has gained experience in transport provisions for the City Plan.

Yelena Makogon has joined the admin team of ViaStrada and looks after payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Transit NZ has released another amended version of the NZ Supplement to Austroads Part 14 (edition June 2008), following the recent update in April. And there has since been yet another update in September 2008.
