On 5 July 2023, Christchurch City Council (CCC) councillors made the decision to approve the Safe Speed Neighbourhoods interim (phase one) Speed Management Plan to reduce speed limits to 30 km around all schools across Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. This is an excellent achievement for helping to create safer communities for our young people on their journey to and from school.

Today we celebrate women in engineering.

A little milestone passed last week – it was 20 years since we delivered the first Cycle Planning/Design industry training course back in June 2003. Things have certainly changed a bit in terms of content and delivery since then...

Congratulations to Wellington City Council on winning prestigious global recognition and prize money from (Global Designing Cities Initiative - Bloomfield Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure) for its city-wide cycle network that is currently being rolled out! Well deserved and the result of hard mahi by the Wellington team!

‘Design jam’ encourages kids to share their ideas to improve safety on road to school.
John Lieswyn of ViaStrada assisted by FNDC and Northland Transportation Alliance (NTA) recently led a fun and creative ‘design jam’ with local school children in Kerikeri.
