We are thrilled to warmly welcome Andy Meek to our growing team!

Andy is joining ViaStrada as a full-time transportation engineer with a CAD design focus. Andy has a diploma in civil engineering with 20 years of experience in CAD infrastructure design with a focus on transportation schemes and proposal CAD drawings.

With a return to more in-person training, ViaStrada are pleased to announce the first set of training courses being offered for 2023, in Auckland (May 3rd) and Christchurch (May 23rd) on Cycle Planning/Design - register now!

In February 2023 we welcomed Mansour Johari to our growing team. Mansour’s first project with us involves research for an evidence review of road space re-allocation for Waka Kotahi.

We have shifted, but not far.

Same building, same address (Level 1, 284 Kilmore St), above Pomeroy's Pub, just 2 doors along from our old office.

Sean is currently studying politics and environmental management at the University of Otago. The Executive Officer of the National Disabled Students' Association and co-president of the Otago Disabled Students’ Association, Sean is passionate about empowering the voices of disabled people in the areas of sustainability and tangible change for the inclusion of disabled people in transport.

The end of another busy year draws near. We've had an interesting time, especially with the arrival (or return) of a number of new members to our team. Thanks to all of our clients, partners and other colleagues who we have enjoyed working with this past year; we hope you have a well-deserved break over the Christmas period!

On Thursday 10 November, the Transportation Group ran Creating Safer Streets, Age Friendly Ōtautahi at Tūranga. This interactive workshop was focussed on understanding the lived experience of people young and old, and specifically considered this lived experience when designing a central Christchurch street.

Inclusive, all age designs were evaluated by how well they achieved the principles of safe system assessments, the pedestrian level of service tool, as well as key principles of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED).

The “ViaStrada Handlebars” are proud to be supporting men’s health this #movember.

Our why?  Raise some funds and grow awareness for serious health issues facing our dads, brothers, sons, and mates and to have fun doing it!

Our team of Mo Bros will be, wait for it, growing mo’s, while our Mo Sisters will be setting their own physical challenges. Follow our progress throughout the month here.

ViaStrada has a history of supporting Biketober.

Biketober 2022 is a month-long festival of cycling being held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Auckland, and the Southern Lakes District

Congratulations to Luca Ware and Nick Reid who both recently graduated from the University of Canterbury!
