Welcome Sean Prenter, our new summer intern!

We are delighted to welcome our summer intern Sean Prenter!

Sean is currently studying politics and environmental management at the University of Otago. The Executive Officer of the National Disabled Students' Association and co-president of the Otago Disabled Students’ Association, Sean is passionate about empowering the voices of disabled people in the areas of sustainability and tangible change for the inclusion of disabled people in transport.

Actively connected to the disabled community through his traumatic brain injury and advocacy work, Sean will be providing a disabled lens on our current Walking Cycling Network Review work in Dunedin. As part of this, he will be involved in establishing links for engagement with Disabled Persons Assembly NZ - DPA and CCS Disability Action. His proposed research will use the energy culture framework designed by Janet Stephenson to consider how the norms, materiality, and practice of disabled people could be improved in transport.
