We are thrilled to warmly welcome Andy Meek to our growing team!
Andy is joining ViaStrada as a full-time transportation engineer with a CAD design focus. Andy has a diploma in civil engineering with 20 years of experience in CAD infrastructure design with a focus on transportation schemes and proposal CAD drawings.
His previous venture was with SCIRT to help rebuild Christchurch after the earthquake of 2011, where responsibilities included the auditing of CAD drawings for the works delivery team.
Having returned to Christchurch after a sabbatical, during which time Andy became the national champion in powerlifting breaking an Australasian deadlifting record, British Masters champion, and competed in bodybuilding. Andy also studied towards a diploma in psychology and sport and exercise; while finding the time for a couple of cycle tours in the South Island.
He is looking forward to meeting up with local friends again and putting those pannier bags back on.
