Land Transport NZ has released the Pedestrian Planning and Design Guide. Well done to the guide's project manager and editor, Tim Hughes for another NZ guideline of the highest quality.
The Pedestrian Guide is of the same high quality as the Cycle Network and Route Planning Guide, for which Land Transport NZ won several awards. Our expectation is that the Pedestrian Guide will gain similar recognition.
Megan Fowler from ViaStrada was fortunate to be able to help Tim put the finishing touches on the document over the last few months. As such, ViaStrada received the first copy of the new guide when it came from the printer. The guide is available in electronic form on the NZ Transport Agency website.
