Farewell to Luca Ware

This August, we said goodbye to Luca Ware, who joined ViaStrada in 2021 as a Graduate Transportation Planner after completing her Bachelor of Science in geography, environmental science, and psychology at the University of Canterbury.

Luca quickly progressed to an Intermediate Planner, contributing to key projects including cordon counts in Dunedin and Wellington, walking and cycling business cases for Whangārei and Dunedin, and school travel planning for various clients throughout New Zealand. Her flair for information design brought clarity and creativity to our outputs.

Her passion for understanding human behaviour in transport, shaped by her academic research, has been a valuable asset. Luca approaches transport planning with a multidisciplinary lens, integrating psychology and environmental awareness.

We’ll miss her warm, bubbly nature and can-do attitude. We wish Luca all the best in her new role as Strategy Advisor at Environment Canterbury!
