Ideal candidate essential criteria:

  • Bachelors (Hons) degree in Engineering
  • Min. 5 yrs experience in road/intersection design, road safety, transport operations, traffic engineering
  • Proficiency in English, excellent reading/writing skills, supported by example reports
  • Capable of conducting site fieldwork, including by walking and cycling
  • Current full drivers licence

Desired skills/experience/proficiency:

  • At least 10 yrs industry experience
  • AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS
  • MS Office suite of programs including advanced Excel
  • NZTA Crash Analysis System (CAS), Mega Maps
  • Safety auditing and/or Safe System Assessments
  • NZTA’s Business Case process; and application of Monetised Benefits and Costs Manual
  • Civil infrastructure design, specification, contracts
