Far North District Plan and Engineering Standards Peer Review

ViaStrada reviewed the existing Transportation chapter of the Far North District Plan including a benchmarking exercise of four leading district plans from similar councils across New Zealand. The report included recommendations to align with current best practice. Similarly, the Engineering Standards required updating to reference the many new national standards and best practice guidelines. ViaStrada was chosen to undertake the peer review given our leading position as authors or co-authors of many of these national standards and guides.
This was a component of a larger project to support the Northland Transportation Alliance in a transition to the One Network Framework (ONF).
