The Canterbury Active Transport (CAT) Forum meets every three months to discuss walking and cycling issues in Canterbury. It comprises a diverse group of walking and cycling stakeholders including transport, health and education professionals and walking and cycling advocates. The forum is facilitated by Environment Canterbury.
Andrew presented information on how to count bicycle traffic by a variety of methods. The presentation also discusses current research on field-testing two commercially-available models of continuous cycle traffic counters (based on induction loop technology) at five locations in Christchurch for Land Transport NZ.
