John Lieswyn started work as a transport planner on 12 January 2009 in ViaStrada's Christchurch office.
For the last three and a half years, John had been working for Palmerston North City Council on various public transport, walking and cycling projects, since emigrating from the United States with his wife.
John has a formal qualification in marketing, but is perhaps best known for his bicycle racing career from 1995 to 2005 including his membership of the United States national cycling team.
