Online NZTA training webinar, 20 Sep 2022
Getting pedestrians and cyclists to cross roads safely is a critical part of multi-modal transport planning. To help address this, NZTA presented an online webinar designed to inform the industry on the latest New Zealand guidance on planning and design of active mode crossings.
The webinar was led by Gerry Dance of NZTA, followed by Jeanette Ward (Abley) discussing pedestrian crossing options, crossing type selection, and crossing aids and then Glen Koorey looking at dual walk/cycle crossings, mid-block signalised crossings, and other crossing types. This was then followed by a Q&A session.
