A few months ago, Glen Koorey spent nearly six weeks travelling around Europe exploring several cities there and observing how they do transport aspects differently there, both in terms of road safety and sustainable transport modes.
In the first of a series of speaker seminars during Biketober 2026, Glen Koorey gave a presentation about this trip to Europe and offered some thoughts and observations about how they make use of lower speed limits, protected cycleways, other cycle network shortcuts, shared spaces and paths, intersection and road crossings, and other interesting and intriguing items noticed while there.
