Continuous cycle counting
Where presented / published:
kland Regional Walking and Cycling Forum
This presentation discusses recent work done by ViaStrada on cycle traffic counting, including a survey of all councils and Transit offices about their experience with and aspirations for counting cycle traffic and a literature review of continuous cycle counters (continuous in this context means for several months or more).
The presentation also discusses current work on field-testing two commercially-available models of continuous cycle traffic counters based on induction loop technology.
The forum was hosted by ARTA and was attended by about 30 engineers, planners and walking and cycling stakeholders on 13 March 2008.
