Earthquake workshop debrief to IPENZ Transportation Group

The Christchurch City Council ran a series of three stakeholder workshops in June 2011 to discuss transportation issues for the rebuild of Christchurch's central city, after the devastating earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. The workshops discussed three themes: form and function; parking; and public transport. Andrew Macbeth attended all three in his capacity as the accessibility representative on the Canterbury Regional Transport Committee (RTC). The local branch of the IPENZ Transportation Group was represented by three other members of the group (one for each workshop), who discussed the workshops at a branch meeting on 23 June. Andrew was asked to summarise the parking workshop in the absence of the branch's representative. His presentation is available here.
