Megan Fowler wins Best Young Author award

Megan Fowler has won the prestigious IPENZ Transportation Conference 'Best Young Author' award at the 2008 conference in New Plymouth.  Megan's paper, co-authored by Axel Wilke, was entitled "Staged Pedestrian Crossings" and is available from our website.

ViaStrada staff present at the conference and included in the photo were Axel Wilke (left), Lorraine Wilmshurst, Megan Fowler (with her award) and Andrew Macbeth.

The award is open to any paper author under the age of 30 and there were several other impressive entries.  Megan also received some great feedback on her presentation and several useful pointers for continuing the staged pedestrian crossing research.

Congratulations, Megan!
