Biketober 2022 is a month-long festival of cycling being held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Auckland, and the Southern Lakes District. With a range of bike-related events and activities aimed at all ages and abilities, be sure to check out what’s happening in your area and join the fun!
There are still plenty of events to get involved with in Christchurch this Biketober.
ViaStrada has a history of supporting Biketober in Christchurch and in 2017 Helen and Glen from our team were heavily involved in the organisation of the inaugural festival, doing much of the event management and marketing. We even won an award for it!
During Biketober 2020 Axel prepared and presented 21st century history of cycling in Christchurch titled “From moratorium to major cycle routes”. And in the same year, Glen gave a Biketober seminar on "Cycling and the law: Road rules around biking".
