plant in tree guardOur team spent the day planting native trees on Quail Island / Ōtamahua. The trust looking after the island has been at it for 20 years and the progress is stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed lending a few hands and adding to the collective effort.

Traffic signals to separate through and diagonal cycling movements

Have you seen Auckland's new directional cycle signals? They have two sites - Beach Road / Te Taou Crescent, and Nelson Street / Victoria Street. Even if you haven't seen them yet, please give us your feedback.

HDC iWay panelJohn leads ViaStrada's school travel planning services. Based on his experience in the US, in 2016 John set up the New Zealand Travel Planners' group with 24 members representing 14 local authorities.

Last year, we conceded that ViaStrada sucks at cycling. We must face the truth once more.

Directional cycle signal headViaStrada has been commissioned to help Christchurch City Council with two surveys relating to cycling; one regarding the current trial of directional cycle traffic signals, and the other regarding cycling crashes on tram tracks.
