2011 Bake Off

For the third consecutive year, we have enjoyed a "bake-off" competition run over the winter months. The competition had its origins in demand outstripping supply at the biscuit tin, but it's grown into something fantastic. Since the earthquake rearranged half of Christchurch, we've been sharing premises with our colleagues at QTP and our IT service provider Egressive, and of course they had to join this season. We even achieved a 100% participation rate.

We've had weekly heats, followed by semi-finals and then the grand finale. It was a yum affair, but all good things have to come to an end. A reward for those involved will be a further recipe book, collating all the goodies. The winner's prize was a spectacular "bake-off" apron made by Helen Woodhouse of ViaStrada, featured in the photo below.

Runners up Andrew Fitzgerald (ViaStrada; left) and Tim Wright (from QTP), with Kathryn Stapleton (ViaStrada) taking out the grand prize.
