  • 2010 Transportation Conference

    The 2010 Transportation Conference was held in Christchurch from 14 to 17 March. It was a great event, including a tug boat ride on Lyttelton Harbour, a fabulous conference dinner, a good networking opportunity and excellent continuing professional development opportunities.

  • Staff movements

    Sue McAuley of our Nelson office has accepted a full time position at Nelson City Council as their Senior Transport Engineer, starting 21 April. With senior council positions in Nelson rarely available, Sue saw this as an opportunity to apply her full range of skills back in a familiar local body environment.

  • Megan Fowler off to France

    Megan Fowler left ViaStrada in March 2010 to explore new opportunities in France. We have so much enjoyed having Megan "along for the ride". She was the first staff member hired under the ViaStrada banner, back in September 2007, after the company started operating in May 2007. Megan has developed rapidly as a traffic engineer and transport planner and became one of our key staff, both professionally and socially.

  • CCC Streamline Resource Consent Programme - ViaStrada an Approved Consultant

    The Christchurch City Council has been exploring ways of improving their processes for dealing with resource consent applications.  As a result, the Council trialled a 'Streamline Resource Consent Application Programme' through 2009, with the aim of providing applicants a better and faster service. ViaStrada was one of the few consultancies involved in this trial and a number of our clients enjoyed the benefits of this programme.
