Andrew comes with several years of experience in resource management and land use planning for local authorities after completing a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2001.

ViaStrada wins big Tauranga project
ViaStrada was the successful tenderer for a large project for Tauranga City Council - the design of 32 intersections along a proposed arterial road. Six consultants were invited to tender. Work will begin in mid December, with project completion expected in 2008.

Bay of Plenty Regional Walking and Cycling Strategy
ViaStrada was the successful tenderer amongst five invited to bid for the development of a regional walking and cycling strategy to cover the BOP region, including Rotorua, Whakatane and Tauranga. Work is now well under way, with the last of three monthly stakeholder meetings scheduled for 18 December.

Welcome to Rick
Rick Houghton started with ViaStrada on 7 January 2008. Welcome to the team, Rick!
Since 1999 Rick has utilised AutoCAD in disciplines ranging from surveying, construction details, road alignments and profiles and drainage design. He specialises in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Rick will broaden the ViaStrada skill set by giving us a CAD capability. Rick will ultimately be in charge of the CAD team. We are pleased to have somebody so skilled and enthusiastic join us.
