More cycle training courses coming

Following the first course in Wellington (12 Feb 2019), further courses focussing on planning & design for cycling will be offered by ViaStrada and the NZ Transport Agency around the country over the next few months, including:

  • Hamilton - 12 March
  • Wellington - 11 April
  • Christchurch - 2 May

(Additional courses may be run, subject to demand)

The course material is based on the recently ratified Cycling Network Guidance and recent cycling levels of service research. It will summarise recent advancements in cycling planning and design understanding, using case studies from a wide range of New Zealand projects implemented in the last five years. There will also be some discussion of current Transport Agency processes for implementing cycling programmes.

The courses will benefit anyone involved in planning, designing or overseeing cycling facility projects and cycling programmes, such as: project managers, road safety auditors, transport planners, transport engineers, advocates and elected members.

Places in these courses are filling up fast, with early-bird fees of only $400+GST (advocates $150+GST). For further details, and to register your interest in any of these courses, please contact us.
